Tom, our Director of Product Development, was always intrigued by science. More questions than answers.
Today Tom relishes in sharing ideas and practices to help partners to diagnose and treat patients in the best way possible. It’s that passion that makes Tom a Stallergenes Greer Ambassador.
Tom’s R&D team is constantly looking at new ways to support manufacturing by developing improved methodologies and sharing new information. Research is also at the heart of the practical help the team gives to clinicians to help them diagnose and treat allergies today. Their research is regularly shared at national meetings and through publications.
Tom’s team provides physicians and professional organizations with medical and, technical, and scientific information and education.
The team liaises with healthcare professionals regarding clinical studies and outcomes research in the field of allergy immunotherapy, as well as providing the following services:
- Testing panel allergen recommendations
- Immunotherapy formulation and dosing consultations
- Compositional and specific allergen measurements in extracts and source materials
- Allergy stability and compatibility investigations and publications
- Responses to all types of unsolicited medically-related questions in the broad field of allergy immunotherapy
As a five-year-old Tom watched the space flights on TV that gave flight to his own imagination and thirst for discovery. His college biochemistry class gave Tom the opportunity he wanted to find answers to his constant questions.
Top of the list when it comes to job satisfaction is getting feedback from doctors and patients. “We’ve been fortunate to see directly how our information has helped doctors and we’ve seen how patient lives have been improved with our help.”
Tom loves his job. He’s been with Stallergenes Greer for over 20 years and he’s still pleased and proud to be here. “No two days are the same,” he says. “We help people solve issues. And we’re helping the company move forward in a challenging regulatory environment.”
