How are respiratory allergies diagnosed?

The diagnosis of respiratory allergies is based on clinical history, physical examination, allergy tests and specific questions.

The traditional diagnosis via skin tests uses allergen extracts, whose composition in minor and major allergens can play a crucial role in defining sensitizations, as in the AIT products for inducing clinical efficacy.

Serum specific IgE adds value to SPT but Molecular allergology diagnosis is recommended, particularly in pollen-allergic patients.
