PMO Project Manager

Do you want to join a growing laboratory and ensure overall management of the project portfolios?
Reporting to the Global Head of Performance & Portfolio, you will be a key player in the launch, management and monitoring of strategic projects in accordance with good project management practices and corporate strategy.
In an international context, you will work in close collaboration with the members of the executive committee to manage their project portfolio across all functions (commercial, clinical, technical, financial). You will lead steering committees accordingly.
You will prepare and occasionally participate in the strategic project review committee with the Global Performance & Portfolio Director and the members of the executive committee.
In this context, your main missions will be:
- Manage projects, portfolios and strategic initiatives: apply validated project management methodology to all phases of the project to ensure success
- Define and validate the objectives, structure and organization of the project
- Build and lead the cross-functional project team
- Build the project schedule and support its follow-up
- Identify the necessary and critical resources to deliver the project, communicate and ensure their availability with the functions concerned
- Determine and monitor the project budget and risks
- Provide a regular, high-quality report to enable decision-making
- Anticipate, resolve and escalate problems, risks and conflicts to the sponsor and then to members of the executive committee if necessary
- Deploy project management tools and processes: collaborate with the different departments to promote harmonized approaches and professionalize project management disciplines
- Support project managers and professionals in the implementation and monitoring of project management
- Actively participate in the development and optimization of the project and portfolio management process and tools
- Support project managers and business lines in arbitrating the resources involved between different projects
- Deploy the project culture within the organization
- Maintain and develop the project management tool (Sciforma):
- Train/support users
- Track and resolve anomalies
- Manage day to day administration and specific development requests
Requirements
You hold a master’s in engineering or in project management or in a scientific field with a strong project management culture.
You have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in managing multiple projects and/or implementing strategic initiatives involving monitoring deliverables, budget and risks.
During your career, you have had the opportunity to work in direct partnership with management and/or the board of directors, on the management and execution of decisions as well as on the resolution of complex issues within a matrix organization, in an international environment.
You master good practices related to project and portfolio management, and have good scientific, financial and commercial knowledge.
You are comfortable with project planning software and are able to provide effective summary presentations.
You are at ease in a dynamic, lean organization, requiring to work at different levels: from operational to strategy and requiring strong soft skills.
Skills in Agile method would be a plus as well as experience abroad.
Beyond your rigor, your discipline and your insight, you are optimistic, dynamic and you have the ability to influence and encourage support to projects.
Mandatory fluent English (read, write, speak)
